    I would be happy to assist you in renewing your subscription and updating your card. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. I do not see any upgrades under your account.

    To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into renewing the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.

    Darnell – need your help!

    What I’m trying to do is renew my domain name. I have spent the entire day trying to figure out how to do it. If you do a whois for Earthplanllc.com, you will find that the registrar is WildWestDomainsLLC. However after three phone calls to them, they have informed me that WordPress is responsible for domain renewals.

    In their analogy “Wordpress built the house with materials that we supplied. However we don’t have a key to get in.” They use the therm API. WordPress sells and bills, using WildWestdomainsLLC as a backend. So while Whois shows them as the registrar, WordPress is responsible for management and billing for renewals.

    This is a topic of discussion on your forums and no one seems to have found a good solution or a good explanation as to how it works.

    Fixing that would be quality customer service.

    If you are unable to help me renew earthplanllc.com, can you fwd this to another associate to render a fix and allow me to renew? If I lose it, I’m done.

    Again, I can definitely help you renew earthplanllc.com, because WWD is right – we are the ones you go through with domain inquiries. All I need from you is proof that you own the domain. The domain is not under yourearthplan username/account, but rather a different username. If you can log into that other username, you should be able to renew the domain, or at least post here under that username so I can assist you in renewing the domain.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

    If you are logged in as the username that owns your domain, you should be able to update credit card info at https://wordpress.com/purchases or by following the instructions on https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/

    The problem I think is … over time, my login information has been changed. I know my password has changed numerous times.

    I’m going to need your help in recovering the username and password that I used to initiate my WordPress site at earthplanllc.com

    If you have access to that information, I can then log in with the original us/pw and proceed.

    Here are screen grabs of various un/pw’s I’ve used. Without your help, I’m going to lose my domain – earthplanllc.com. Earthplan.us is a sub-domain

    This is a copy of the renewal email I received from WP. I am unable to access any link to update my VISA information – needed to lock in my domain before it expires:

    What I can do is email the account that is associated with the upgrade and all you will need to do is look through you various emails and respond to the email I sent you. If you do that, it will confirm ownership, and I will be able to get you back in.

    Let me know if that works and I will send out that email.

    Also – and you’ll love this. I cannot access my Dashboard in earthplanllc.com. Is that due to anything currently happening with my domain? I haven’t done a thing with programming or changing my site in some time.

    I reset my password and have access to my site. However I see no direct way to renew my domain. I’m going to need you to help me directly make that connection or provide you the information needed via an email.

    JUST EMERGED PROBLEM:

    I am also unable to access my Dashboard.

    While logged in under the account associated with earthplanllc.com ( jbyanski), you can go here to renew the domain.

    I am also unable to access my Dashboard.

    To which site? The one you are contacting me from or from a site under the account that has the earthplanllc.com upgrade under it?

    I see that you have JetPack for earthplanllc.com connected to this account while the domain upgrade us under the other account. To lessen the confusion, I can transfer the domain upgrade to the earthplan account so that everything is in place.

    I may be approaching this problem from the wrong angle.

    I log into my earthplanllc.com site using the following UN/PW (pw changed again yesterday)

    That takes me directly to my landing page on earthplanllc.com. Now I am not locked out of the Dashboard and prevented from any possibility of upgrading plugins. I get a HTTP 500 error.

    I’m not sure how that has occurred. So … I tried to do a restore of the site from Bluehost using a July 16 save, but it seems to have failed. I also tried to do a restore using Filezilla but that did not have any impact on restoring function.

    If I go to WordPress.com I am directed to sign in. I do so with my default sign-in info noted above and arrive at a page for ‘My Sites – Followed Sites” (I believe Earthplanllc.com was previously noted on this page but is obviously missing now.)

    You noted “jbyanski” in the previous email as either a UN or PW. Is that still usable and workable? Is it a Un or a PW? I’m guessing that was from my original signup for WordPress – which has obviously changed over time. I tried several versions of a sign in using that without success.

    So now I am completely perplexed. I think I need a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor to gain access to the future.

    So … can you:

    1. Provide me with a UN/PW to the credit card update page to renew my domain?

    2. Direct me to a solution to gain access to my Dashboard?

    3. Fix me!!

    You are going to really enjoy this. Recall that the Dashboard was unusable and not functioning. I attempted to do a restore using both Filezilla and the restore function on Bluehost’s website. No luck.

    Today, I contacted their customer service via chat. I was informed that my site had been redirected to the CIA. I was given the entire redirection linkage/url. SIMPLY AMAZING. Their Level II team and their hacker/security team got involved immediately and after a short wait, I was told they deleted all my plugins and that I should attempt to use the Dashboard once again! SUCCESS!!!

    Have you ever heard of this before? It would appear that their servers had been hacked and my site redirected as a result. At no time however would I expect them to admit that. J

    So I’m back in action on the Dashboard.

    With the link you provided to renew my domain – earthplanllc.com, I get the following page. No luck on that yet.

    Can you do it for me? Or, provide a EPP code as a backup so that I can transfer it to Bluehost? Not sure what to do.
