renewal payment problem

    My renewal for mapping of our domain name expired at the end of December, but I am unable to renew, as I will explain below. Though the mapping shows up as expired, our page continues to redirect correctly, comes up if we type in the URL without the wordpress.[blogname] preface. So for now, nothing is abnormal for our customers. But we really do want to resolve this payment problem.

    Here’s what I need help with.

    Our original 2 payments, at the end of 2011 and 2012, were made thru an authorized user’s WordPress account, but that user is no longer connected to our business. When we try to “renew” by purchasing a new “product” for mapping, it says our domain name is already mapped to an existing blog (the one that supposedly expired on Dec. 30th).

    What do we do? we can’t renew because the URL hasn’t been “released” and we don’t want to renew thru the ex-users account. What am I missing here?

    I might add that I find it very frustrating that there is no way to communicate directly with the company who is taking my payment. I understand not offering extensive support for technical problems etc to free accounts. But really – not even a way to resolve payment issues?

    Hello there,
    Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account. No matter how many blogs are created under any username account there will be only one gravatar and one primary blog that can be linked to that username.

    The blog’s owner can use the process to transfer the blog to another username account. Then Staff can assist with moving the upgrades to that account.

    @tattooeugene I have removed the expired domain mapping upgrade from tattoobydesign.wordpress.com, so you should now be able to purchase it again under your account.

    @corinnawan please post a new thread so we can address your issue separately.

    Thankyou, Jackiedana – you truly are a happiness engineer. Whatever you did fixed things so I was able to purchase the upgrade. Now I can go on to be a happiness engineer in my own life!
