Renewal price for custom domain?

  Hi,

  I’m looking at the price for getting a custom domain. I know I can get 1 custom domain and private registration for it for $26, but I can’t seem to find anywhere that states that’s also the renewal price. Can someone from WordPress please verify that $26 will be the renewal price after the first year, and every year after that?

  just to add a bit – WordPress.COM like most any company reserves the right to change prices – but I have been here about 5 years and any price increases are very low – I think the domain mapping part went from $12 to $13 a couple of three years back – so the price is not a teaser rate and should not double next year – I would be amazed if you saw anymore than maybe a dollar increase once in a while

  you are welcome – the thing I think people are afraid of is the double next year thing – or the “register your domain today for only $0.50” – and left out is the real cost for the renewal is $15.-/yr –

  Agreed. I can relate, as I live where the dollar is in free fall due to the previous governments inability to have the courage to do what the people wanted ie. to make a shift away from being a resource based petroleum-driven economy. I let both domain mapping upgrades and both no ads upgrades go on my blogs. I am a senior now, and on the austerity plan so I am focused on frugality.
