Renewals – what do I do when the owners have left my company?

  • Unknown's avatar

I work for a small non-profit, and am due to renew my domain and premium plan.

I have tried to renew the subscription and it is generating an error message to say only the subscription owner can renew. This person left the company a few months ago. How can I change this?

The domain is also due to expire. I have tried to renew the domain but again an error message is coming up, sating that the domain owner is the only user able to renew this. This person has also left the company.

How do I transfer the user rights?

  • Howdy :)

The domain and upgrade are owned by the person who registered it, not the company. Do you have any contact information for that person?

We can help them transfer ownership over to you, or someone else within the company who is active, but the process can only be initiated from their account and we need their consent.

What is the domain in question? I’ll be happy to send the owner an email explaining the situation and if they’d be willing to pass along the ownership, just remember they have no obligation to do so.
