Renewed domain but it still isn't connected

    Hello,

    My email account is connected to my domain which I got through wordpress (calumbowen.com). It recently went down because I think I forgot to renew my account. I recently renewed it but it doesn’t seem to have connected the domain and emails are still getting bounced back to that email address. Is there something I may be missing?

    I see that your domain https://calumbowen.com isn’t active at the moment. DNS records are not active too, that’s why emails are bouncing.

    Since you were able to renew the domain – it is probably still in grace period (less than 10 days passed from expiration).

    Not sure how long does it take for domain and DNS records to become active again though.

  • calumbowen.com domain name seems to be in the redemption period. This means the domain name can still be renewed, but there is an $80.00 redemption fee required in addition to the normal renewal cost and needs intervention from the support staff.

    Yes, calumbowen.com is now in a redemption period. I see that you renewed your personal plan and mapping subscriptions, but that doesn’t get your domain out of redemption. You must pay the $80 fee.

    Please let me know if you want to proceed with paying the late renewal fee in the attempt to reclaim the domain name. This option is also time sensitive because the domain can be auctioned off to an expired domain bidder.

    I would suggest enabling the auto-renew option so that you will not have to worry about losing control over your domain in the future – I see this happened last year as well.

    Thanks for confirming. I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your Account Settings page. I’ll start the recovering process by contacting our domain registrar once your payment has come through.
