On May 1st I renewed my Domain http://www.cameltours.co.il/content.php?id=4&tlng=hebrew. For some reason when you enter this site, a completly different company comes up “Cameland”. what I paid for is “Camel tours” This mistake is costing me money on a daily basis.
I Had this domain for a year without any problems. But this is unacceptable and a hinderance to my buisness, I need this situation taken care of within 24 hours. I can be reached by phone at [redacted by staff].The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The renewal you made on May 1 was for a domain mapping upgrade for the domain cameltours.co.il. That domain mapping upgrade links a domain registered somewhere else with your WordPress.com site. However, to use that domain with your WordPress.com site you must own the domain cameltours.co.il already.
It sounds like your domain registration for cameltours.co.il may have lapsed with the company where you registered it. Currently, that domain is registered with Domain The Net — you can find the publicly available information about that domain here:
http://whois.domaintools.com/cameltours.co.il
If you no longer own the domain cameltours.co.il I’m afraid you’ll be unable to use with your WordPress.com site. If that’s the case, please let me know and I can remove and refund that domain mapping upgrade for you.

Yesterday on May 1st I recieved a request from you to pay $13.00 in order to keep my domain know as “Cameltours.co.il.” I paid this with my Credit card and recieived an electronic reciept #12790118. As I stated in my previous Email. This mistaske is costing my buisness revenue.
Please explain how after doing as you requested someone else winds up with my domain. And how this can be resolved as soon as possible. -

Domain mapping and domain registration are separate. The $13 you paid was for domain mapping. If you didn’t also renew the domain registration with your domain registrar, the domain mapping won’t work.
Since your WordPress.com site was redirecting to someone else’s site, and the domain mapping doesn’t work without domain registration, I’ve removed the domain mapping subscription and refunded your payment. Your site content is now available at https://taula1blog.wordpress.com/.
If you are able to get the domain back, or wish to register a new domain let me know and we can remap your site to a domain you own.

I Am not sure I fully understand. Please explain to me what I need to do in order to keep my domain and mapping. Is there someone available to speak/write to me in Hebrew as thatis my mother language.
Thank you. -
Hi @chakra10,
I’m afraid we primarily provide support in English. I’ll do my best to explain this a bit more, but please let me know if this doesn’t make sense!
Originally, you purchased your domain (cameltours.co.il) at another registrar (not WordPress.com). Then, you purchased something called a “Domain Mapping” upgrade at WordPress.com to use the domain with your WordPress.com site. The domain registration and mapping are two different things. In order for your domain to work correctly, you would need to maintain and renew both the registration (different company) and the mapping upgrade (WordPress.com).
It looks like the registration part (that provides ownership of the domain via the other company) may have lapsed. Unfortunately, I don’t know which company you registered the domain with. However, when you failed to renew the domain registration, the company sold the domain to someone else, which is why you’re seeing a different site.
When you paid the renewal at WordPress.com, you paid for the mapping upgrade. However, this will not work without the corresponding registration at the other company.
To recap, unless you own the domain registration at another company (please let me know if so!), you will not be able to use cameltours.co.il for your site. It appears as though someone else has bought the domain and is now using it for their site. Can you let me know if you remember renewing the domain registration at another company?
