Renewed expired domain name, need to jumpstart website
-
I had to renew my domain name from startlogic, which expired on July 4, 2014. I renewed it on July 26, 2014, but my website is still disabled. Please advise. Thx, Rachelle

Hi bookendsrqa,
It looks like when the domain name expired startlogic may have changed the name servers for your domain name to bring up a page letting you know the name had expired. When it was renewed it looks like those name servers were never changed back.
If you have the Domain Mapping feature with WordPress you would need to change the name servers back to:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comYou would need to do this in your startlogic account.
If your domain is expired and you had Domain Mapping with WordPress you should also check to make sure it still hasn’t expired either.

It’s still spotty, even though I’ve done what you’ve instructed. Right now, the website is not showing up, although it was fine a few minutes ago.

Hi bookendsrqa,
I do see that the name servers have been updated properly now.
After name servers are changed it can take 24-72 hours for the change to propagate throughout the internet. During that time things can be sporadic, but things should start working consistently for you very soon.
