Renewing doamin

  Are things always such a mess at WordPress? I went to admin my site and was presented with a warning that my domain/account would expire soon. So I clicked the renew now button. Added my new payment info and clicked renew. I was then presented with the same page but a warning at the top saying ‘The blog is not subscribed to some of these products. Did you mean to purchase them?’ That is clearly a question right, but no way to answer the question was presented. So what do I do? I have a screen shot of the completely rediculas page if anyone cares to see it.

  Now I am just one of the admins of the site in question. How do I find out if the domain is actually in ‘my account’ ? When I go to ‘All my sites’ I see the domain in question listed does that mean it is ‘mine’ If I can have different status to different domains in that list why isn’t there some clue. Like ‘Admin’ or ‘Owner’ ? As it is I have no idea which of the domains in that list are in my account or not. Isn’t this the kind of really really basic info that an account holder needs?

  So I select the site in the list of all my domains then I see an item called ‘Plans’ and next to it, it says ‘premium’. So I click this item and it presents me with a page showing the different plans and a green check box on ‘Premium’. Underneath is says ‘Manage Plan’. So I click on manage plan expecting to see ‘renew’. But instead it just says ‘Upgrade’ clicking that just sends me into a loop.

  So I have to assume that this site has still not been transferred into my account. Here are my requests:
  1) Display my relationship to a site somewhere obvious, like next to the name in the ‘all my sites’ list.
  2) If my relationship to a site does NOT allow me to perform a function, don’t show it to me, or better disable it with a note that says ‘Only owners can perform this function’

  These are simply things. Until then these admin screens are broken. I can barely understand how such obvious things get passed testing. How do they get passed testing? Do you do testing?

  I don’t mean to sound so snarky but wordpress is an very popular plateform right? Yet it contains such insanely obvious bugs like this:

  And this bug is really just a cascade from some other code that is giving a user an option to do something that they are not authorized to do.

  I don’t need any help with this anymore as we just had the site “owner” do the renewal. I have no idea what the correct term for a site “owner” vs “admin” or shared with or whatever.

  Can someone who knows where to file bugs please file these:
  1) Display a users ROLE in relationship to a site somewhere obvious, like next to the name in the ‘all my sites’ list.

  2) If a users role on site does NOT allow them to perform a function, disable that function with a note that says ‘Only owners can perform this function’
