Renewing domain

  Hi,

  I am the webmaster of an account and the domain has just expired (two days ago). The user that bought the domain originally has since left the club and we have no way of accessing the WordPress account. Is there a way to transfer the renewal to my account? I am an administrator of the website.

  Hi there,

  Is there any way to get in contact with the former club member? That is the best bet to get access to the upgrade that needs to be renewed. Let me know if that is possible.

  Hi Darnell,

  I have tried but the user was set up in I think 2011 specifically to set up the site and no one that was involved at the time knows the password or the email address that it was linked to. No one got any reminders to renew and I have tried getting a password reminder sent but no one has gotten that either. So unfortunately I can’t see how we can get access to that account. I would have thought that any of the administrators would have been able to complete the renewal, is that not the case?

  Any admin was able to pay for an upgrade, but the policy was changed about 6 months ago.

  What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account and see if user who is the owner will reply regarding the account.
