Renewing domain name

    I transferred my blog crossexaminedblog.com from WordPress.com to WordPress.org about 6 months ago, with hosting at BlueHost. Today, BlueHost said that I need to renew the name.

    Makes sense, but they said that the domain was registered with Wild West Domains. My understanding is that this is simply the parent organization of WordPress.com and that I should go through WordPress (not Wild West) to renew. Is this correct?

    If so, where the heck do I renew? Thanks.

    Did you purchase your domain here at WordPress.com? If so, you can renew your registration in your admin panel under Upgrades > Domains.

    And, for the record, Wild West Domains is not WordPress. (I think they’re a GoDaddy domain reseller, actually.)

    OK, I got it.

    It’s a little confusing to renew my wordpress.ORG name through wordpress.COM, but the real problem was being told that Wild West was the domain holder (WTF??).
