renewing domain on wordpress but using squarespace to host

  Hi there my domain needs to be renewed and i didnt do it on time. I am using wordpress for my domain and using squarespace for my website. do i need to do anything other than renew my domain on wordpress for it to work?

  We need details please.
  1. What is the domain URL? Do you want to use the domain URL on another site?
  2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
  3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
  4. When was the upgrade purchased?
  5. When did the expiration take place? Read: Domain expiration https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

  Hi there,

  Is this for the domain, elenamifsud.com?

  That domain expired on 29 October and is no longer in our system, but in redemption with our registrar. It’s still possible to get it back at this stage, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Please let me know if you agree to this fee and I can get the process started.

  If your site is with Squarespace, you don’t need the Personal Plan you purchased. You can cancel and refund that from the Purchases page:

  I was invoiced (and paid) $106 last night for domain redemption. Why is it more? And what happens now? Have paid but have not been advised of next steps of the process.
