Renewing domain subscription

    Hi, my domain is showing as expired, but when I go to the upgrades section, there is now renewal button….there doesn’t seem to be a problem with the url redirection, even though it is showing as expired 3 months ago….I remember updating my card details, so this should have gone through automatically….could it be wordpress has not updated my upgrades?

    You need to contact the company you registered the name with for renewal status and to renew

    Your domain mapping is renewed here – but you need to be logged in as the owner of the upgrade to renew it

    Hi, thanks, the message is saying the upgrade expired on 20 dec, so I’m assuming this is referring to a wordpress upgrade. Also, the fee is in dollars, my hosting company is a UK company, and I have my card registered with them, so all my upgrades are automatic…including domain name renewals. I will check my hosting company.

    Check the status of your Domain Mapping

    Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades
    Dashboard >> Store >> Billing History

    Is the charge $ 13.–? That is the Domain Mapping cost per year

    If the notice is on your Dashboard here then it is for sure the Domain Mapping or another upgrade from WordPress.COM since your domain name is not registered through here

    hosting is all up to date with the domain name, so this is definitely a wordpress issue

    yes agreed, but there is nothing in my billing history and there is no renewal button. The blog is still referring to my domain name though…so no problem, but it is asking for an upgrade since 20 dec…and no way of checking, so I am not sure if there is a grace expiry period and my site is about to tank!

    Is there another account that might have purchased the upgrade? Do you have a second account?

    Your blog has domain mapping so someone needed to pay for the mapping

    The mapping record did expire on December 20, but for some reason, our system never removed it.

    I have removed it for you now, and you can re-map the domain by adding it via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
