Renewing expired domain
-
Hi, I’m trying to renew my domain that has been expired for apparently two months (I assumed it was set to auto-pay). In the email I received to renew the domain, there is a ‘renew _________ . com’ link, which takes me to my cart but doesn’t load when I click on it. How do I resolve this issue?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I see that someone has tagged this thread for Staff assistance, but please also read this support guide to what happens when you let a domain expire that you purchased through WordPressdotcom. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
Depending on the current status of that domain, there may be an extra fee required by the registrar to recover your domain. Please let Staff know in this thread that you are willing to pay that fee.
Thanks for your patience while Staff get back to you.

Hi there,
Are you speaking of rivalofmars.com?
That domain expired on 6 June and has already been removed from our system. It is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.

Yes that is the domain. I will pay the fee of $80. How long does the recovery process take?

Hi @littlebilqees, I’ve just sent an email with the payment request. Once you have made the payment, please update us here and we’ll reach out to the registrar. From there, it’s typically about a business day. Cheers!

Perfect, thank you. We’ve reached out to the registrar for you. Again, note it’s usually about a business day before we hear back, so we might not have word for a bit with this being a weekend. But when we do have word, we’ll let you know.
Cheers!
