Renewing my domain registration

  I have been trying to renew my domainregistration for weeks. Every time I try it goes to submit the payment, but then gives me an error that says ‘enter your first name’. I have entered all of the info and I don’t understand why I am getting this message. Please help as my site is no longer up now.

  Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order.

  The good news is that we may still be able to recover your domain if it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else.

  A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by the domain registry and is not one that we can waive. The total price will be $106, which is $26 for the regular renewal, plus the $80 late renewal fee. If you do not wish to pay the $80 fee, you may let the domain expiration process continue and attempt to register the domain again at the regular price, once it has completely expired.

  Please note that someone else may purchase the domain first, in which case you will be unable to register it again.

  As far as all of my posts and things will that be restored as well if I pay the late fee? I tried to pay to renew before and i kept getting that error message, and ended up with several holds on my bank statement.

  This is actually a separate issue. theafter5lifestyle.com isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com. It looks like you moved it to a self-hosted WordPress.org site in the middle of 2013.

  That said, assuming that you have been paying for your webhosting, all the data should still be sitting there. Domains and webhosting are separate things. Your webhosting support team should be able to tell you for sure.
