Renewing my domain without involving former partner

    My ex business partner has payment/contact info for b-fit.net
    He was legally separated from the business over a year ago. Since his departure I have been the legal sole proprietor of the business represented by http://www.b-fit.net I need to pay the bill for b-fit.net and get my site back up.

    If that ex-partner is on record as having registered the domain, they are the owner of the domain.

    Can you log in with your ex-business partner’s account? That might be the speediest way to resolve this.

    If you cannot, you may need to provide Automattic with further information in order to renew, so I’ve tagged this for Staff. Please be patient while waiting for their response in this thread.

    Hi trainerflip,

    If the payment for the domain was made using a company credit card and you are able to provide a transaction ID, please fill out the Account Recovery form:

    Recover Your Account

    ICAAN regulations prevent us from transferring the domain, so the current owner will need to do so. This isn’t something we can do on their behalf.
