Reopen a closed blog

  I deleted a blog yesterday (databeers.wordpress.com), and I want to create the same blog again, but it wont allow me as it says the blog already exists

  Hi there,

  Take a look at this post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Once you’ve deleted a blog, its related address is no longer available to use. Just to quote:

  Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.

  If there’s any way you can think of a new, original address to restart your blog with, that’s probably the best option. Hope that helps!

  I understand the issue of recycling names when the owner is different, but what about recycling one of my own names? Moreover, when I was deleting it, there was an option “I want to start all over again”….

  The same applies, I believe :) if you’ve deleted your own blog, the address you used will not be available again, to you or anyone else who might want to use it.

  If you’d like to start over, you’ll have to use a new, original address for your site.
