Reordering portfolio pages in sketch theme
-
Hi. I am wondering if there is a way to reorder my portfolio pages while using sketch theme? As shown it is in reverse order of creation which is not ideal (for instance I would like “soul” first and my one remaining to be created gallery to be last….) Would prefer not to have to start over if there is a simple fix. Thanks!

Hi there. There’s not a simple fix, I’m afraid. Currently portfolio projects are only sorted by date and the only way I know of to re-order them is by changing the dates. You can do that using the quick-edit function under Portfolio ->All Projects in the dashboard.
It might also be possible using CSS, but you’ll need an upgrade to do that.
You can post your question in the CSS customisation forum to find out if is possible and what code will be needed to make this change: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
See here for more info on purchasing the custom design upgrade:

Hi Ssvensrud,
All your projects are listed in accordance with the date they were uploaded. So, if you want to change the order of your projects (you call them “pages”) – simply go 1) Dashboard 2) Portfolio => All Projects 3) Click “Quick Edit” => change the date.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for…

Hi ssvensrud – I wanted to let you know that it’s now possible to order portfolio projects in several different ways using the shortcode, without having to modify project publication dates as a workaround. You can learn about the new attributes (order, orderby) on the portfolio shortcode page. Just let me know if you have any questions or need any help with it!
