Reorganizing categories in Motion's default navigation bar
-
Hi, I’m new to blogging and my first use has involved using it to organize a research project in which my entire course participated. I would REALLY like to reorganize the main categories in the Motion theme’s default navigation bar but it is not obvious how to do this. I did find out how to create a custom menu where I could organize the categories as desired but, as you can see from looking at my blog, it is stuck up at the top of the page and the default bar is still there and still incorrectly ordered. How can I 1) get the default category bar reorganized (if I simply delete and re-add categories in the correct order, will posts lose their categorization even with the custom menu in place??) or 2) is there a way to delete the default category bar (I do not like this option).
Thank you! Btw, I’m learning but still very much a newbie.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, Motion is designed with two top nav menus but only the upper one can be replaced by a custom one. The lower one displays your categories in alphabetical order, and you can’t change that either.
