Reorganizing content

    I still need help. My blog spans over 5 years and the export file is many megs. I am trying to reorganize and parse the content. I’m not looking merely to add categories but pull groups of posts to export so I can create separate blogs based on content. I cannot open the xmp file in any program to edit and even when I am rarely successful there’s no way to sort through the code.

    WP only lets me mass edit 10 posts at a time. This is great…unless you’re dealing with 1000 posts. It took me 4 hours to extract 30 posts because I had to import the full blog into a new one and manually delete…10 posts at a time…everything I didn’t want to use.

    There has to be a faster way. Please help.

    Are you exporting FROM WP.com or importing TO WP.com?
