  I need help to repair my web site. I got my last email from WP back in 2020.

  We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but uses a dangerous outdated version of the open source software wordpress.org. Your site is up and running but you didn’t set a page as your frontpage. You can get further help at https://wordpress.org/support/

  How do I contact wordpress.org support? My user name and password are invalid. I am very confused. I need concrete help.

  Does anyone know how to contact wordpress.org without going in the never ending rabbit hole of forums?
  The phone number keeps me on hold. I may have to redo my site again from scratch if I don’t get any help.

  I am already not liking wordpress.

  Hi there,

  The open source WordPress software you used to make that site is made and supported by a global community of volunteers on WordPress.org. For help with that software you can post in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  If you’ve never posted there before, you’ll need to register a WordPress.org account first – even though you’re using that software, you won’t necessarily have a WordPress.org account – the admin account you use to log into your site itself is something completely different, and won’t work to log into WordPress.org, nor will your WordPress.com account details.

  I’m not sure what phone number you’re speaking of, but neither WordPress.org, nor us on WordPress.com provide phone support. If your hosting provider offers phone support, you can try contacting them for help with this, though.
