REPEATED CATEGORIES ?

Why are there categories like this ?
For example, what’s the difference between economy and economy-2 ?http://en.wordpress.com/tag/economy
http://en.wordpress.com/tag/economy-2Another example:
http://en.wordpress.com/tag/cooking
http://en.wordpress.com/tag/cooking-2Thanks.

Someone already had a tag or category called economy, and they either made another one without realizing it, and since URLs have to be unique, wordpress appended the numeral on the end.
Or, they had a category called economy, and then made a tag with the same name (not a good idea) and again, cats and tags go to the same global tags pages, so they have to have unique URLs and wordpress appended a number on the end.

One thing I’ll mention is to watch this and keep it from happening on your blog (duplicate tags and category names) since it dilutes your tag and search engine juice.

There is more to this issue. I suggest you subscribe to a feed for your tags. If it is UPDATING yet your posts are not there it is a problem. Security will say they are having issues with SOME global tag feeds but that is not the problem. When your posts show up on a global tag page and it shows your other tags for that post BUT some are a little different (caps change or periods inserted) yet they are the way they have always been on your site, then those changed tags have issues. Caps or lower case should not matter and still UNLESS you see your tags presented differently on a global tag page. No reply please if it is the same blah, blah, blah non answer. Stange stuff going on here.
