Repeated Offensive Ads

This is the fourth time I’ve written about this. You continue to post offensive, mature audience ads on my site. Your promises to fix the problem are empty.

Have you no respect for your customers. I should not have to be held hostage and pay more to avoid supporting an organization that I deeply disagree with. Why not put a check box so people can opt in to supporting Planned Parenthood, a group that offers NO support for parents whatsoever.

There are plenty of people who will want those ads. I do not. I had to write you about this last week.

    You can do better.

    Hi there,

You can pause or remove WordPress.com Ads from your blog/site with a paid plan.

Do consider that the ads you are viewing are personalized to your web activity and browsing history and only you can see them. Try clearing your browser’s cache and history. Visit your site using incognito mode or VPN and see if the issue continues.

    Thank you for contacting.

  • Hi there,

Ads that display on your site are determined by the location and browser history of the person viewing your site, and we have no direct control over which specific ads show to any person on any site.

If a particular ad shows inappropriate content we can report it to our advertising partners, who can then block the ad or advertiser in question, but we do not do that simply because you disagree with an ad or find it personally offensive.

Your site is on our Premium Plan and you have WordAds active, meaning you are making the choice to have ads display on your site. You can disable WordAds from My Site ->WordAds, and that will prevent further ads from being displayed on your site.
