Repeating images on posts

Hi there
My problem is that when I click on a post on my blog, I go to the post and the image is repeated both as what appears to be a “header image” and then again in the body of the post. The body post is where I inserted the image, and I only want the image to show once in a post.
To add to my confusion, when using the “Customise” function, unticking the “Automatically use first image in post” check box fixes the problem, but creates a new problem of not showing the image on the home page, which I want!
I am using the Baskerville 2 theme. Another problem is I don’t seem to have the “Editor” function. Is this because of this theme?

Thank you for reaching out! Regarding the Featured Images, you can adjust this in the Customizer by navigating to the “Content Options” setting. If you want the first image to display on your homepage but not on individual posts, simply uncheck “Display on single posts” under the Featured Images section.
Additionally, since Baskerville 2 is not a block theme, you won’t use the Editor for it. Instead, you’ll make adjustments using the Customizer.
