Replace Featured Image on Blog
-
I am using the Twenty Seventeen theme. I have replaced ALL of the other featured images, except I cannot figure out how to replace the red-headed woman. This image seems connected to the “BLOG” page, which indicates content is automatically generated and cannot be edited. How do I replace the image of the woman in the Twenty Seventeen theme?

Hi there!
So that’s actually coming from the featured image set on the “Scribbles” page. Can you try going to this link and removing the featured image → adding a new one on the sidebar, then clicking Update?
Let me know how it goes.

Hello! I finally heard back from someone via email support. Problem solved. It was caused when I renamed the blog page “Scribbles” before replacing the woman’s image. Here is the reply, in case anyone else runs into the issue:
It seems that the redheaded lady’s photo was set as the featured image for the ‘Scribbles’ page before it was set as the Blog page. Kindly navigate to Appearance → Customize → Homepage Settings, and set the Posts page as the default ‘select’ option, then save.
Afterward, navigate back to the dashboard → Pages → All pages → Open the Scribbles page to edit it, and remove the featured image → Save. Then navigate back to the Homepage Settings to set it back as the Posts page.
Alternatively, you can use this ‘Set as Regular Page’ option on the Scribbles page, to be able to edit it. After removing the featured image, you can set it as the Posts page again via the ‘Set as Posts Page’ option.
