Replace site tagline with image?
-
We are using WordPress for our companies website: http://www.ese-corp.com
Where the “tagline” is at the top: “Electrical Engineering, UL Control Panels, SCADA, Custom Communications”
I want to put a wide thin logo right underneath it. I want the logo exactly underneath the tagline and the search box on the upper right. But I want it above the navigation bar.
I basically have a logo that is already sized perfectly for this.
I have been banging my head against the wall trying different ways to edit the php and css to no avail.
Help is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I’m afraid you’re in the wrong forum. This support forum is for free WordPress.com blogs. You appear to have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Please visit the WordPress.org support forum for assistance as we won’t be able to help you here: http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.

I checked http://www.ese-corp.com/ just now and I don’t see that tagline. Perhaps you removed it.

You can use the “background” property and a pseudo element like :before or :after to add a logo before or after a specific element on the page. I can help out by starting you out with an example and then point you to the correct place to get support in the future.
This example adds a WordPress logo above the main menu using a :before pseudo element:
#top-navigation { background: url(http://i2.wp.com/s.w.org/about/images/logos/wordpress-logo-notext-rgb.png?w=100) top left no-repeat; padding-top: 100px; }You can change out the url() value with your own image and adjust the top padding to what works best for the image you want to use.
Because your site is not setup here at WordPress.com, the best place to ask for help on themes is from your theme author. I can see that you are using Foxy by Elegant Themes, and they have a support link listed at http://www.elegantthemes.com/contact.html Theme authors may not provide custom design work as part of the support they offer, and in that case, you could ask in the WordPress.org volunteer-based forums at http://wordpress.org/support/ as kokkieh suggested earlier.
