Do you have a wordpress.com blog? If so please post a link to it.
You failed to state exactly is this code for. Please clarify. The only file types allowed are stated here in the FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/what-filetypes-can-i-upload/
Flash is a no go http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/can-i-add-flash-video-embed-other-media/
forms and iframes are also a no go. And wordpress.com blogs cannot be used to drive traffic to 3rd party sites (See section 2, 5th bullet) http://wordpress.com/tos/The words “ads” is up there and if it refers to “advertising” then blogger initiated advertising on wordpress.com blogs is also a no go http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/

Hello, yes I do
the image that im trying to replace is the one that says ” adverise here” it’s an .gif image that measures 300×250 , I would like to place a flash .swf image in that space.
Thanks!

(1) There is no blogger initiated advertsing allowed on wordpress.com blogs.
(2) That means that you cannot advertise on wordpress.com blog yourself and you cannot provide space for others to do so.
(3) You cannot use flash on wordpress.com blog.
And that’s what the information at the links that I posted above tells you.The blog you have posted the link for does not appear to be a wordpress.com free hosted blog on this multiuser blogging platform’s servers. http://techbe.com/blog/ It appears to be a template downloaded from another source like http://wordpress.org
If you have downloaded software from wordpress.org then you are in the wrong support forum and the correct one is here -> http://wordpress.org/support -
