Replacing custom domain with a new custom domain.
-
Hello,
I’m the owner of the site rebelrebelfilm.com – which is a custom domain I purchased last year. I have three months remaining, but have to switch the domain to a new one which will be dimecrimes34.com
Is there any way to switch to this new custom domain without having to pay the $18 all over again. Maybe just the registration cost, but not the mapping cost? Not sure how this works.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Domain fees must be paid every year, so you’ll need to pay it in any case when the old domain expires in three months. It’s also not possible to change a custom domain. The only way to change it is to register a new one from scratch.
If you register a new one, you can either let the old one expire on its own (make sure you don’t have auto-renew enabled), or you can ask staff to cancel it for you. If you want to cancel the old domain, let us know.
