Replacing Domain?
-
If for example my domain at wordpress.com is myblog1.com and I bought a new domain and wanted the new domain instead of my old one for my blog; My blog would remain the same but would have a new domain name for example myblog2.com
Is that possible? If so, how would I go about that?
-
That is correct.
However, domains are no longer available for purchase or mapping individually. They are included with the WordPress.com Personal, Premium, or Business plans:

This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.
A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.

Ok great! I was asking for a client of mine who’s website I designed. She has the Premium wordpress.com plan and she was asking me about replacing her domain name with a new one that she purchased. Would that be located under settings in her wordpress.com account?
-
She just needs to follow the instructions for setting up Domain Mapping:

Let me know if she have any trouble.
