Replacing image in existing post

  How can I replace and image in an existing post the best way?
  The post is a month old containing two images, one of them isn’t good so I want to delete that one and replace it with a new one. Sounds simple, but how do I do it the correct way, so google will find the new one instead of the old one. Should I use exactly the same tags for the new one?

  Last question, how do I delete the old image entirely so google won’t find it anymore.
