Replacing images
-
Hi There,
When you replace and old image for a new, better version and leave the post, tags etc. the same, does that influence the ranking in search engines?
I sell crochet animal patterns and some of my older post contain lousy images compared to the ones I use now. I want to replace those lousy images for better ones without influencing search engine results.
For example, I have a crochet raccoon pattern with bad pictures. But if I google ‘crochet raccoon pattern’ my pictures are the at the top of the image search results. I would rather not undo that. Can I replace my images safely? And if so, how to to it best?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
changing your pictures will not affect Google Search results in any bad way. It might improve your overall SEO score by having better quality pictures.
If you want to change your images to better ones your would have to do it manually for each post.Hope this answers your question :).

It does, thanks a lot.
Just to be sure, I have to edit the images in the posts, so I go to the post, click edit, edit image and there replace it right?
