Replacing my active website

  Hi. I have a website on a different platform, I want to transfer that domain name to WordPress. I want that domain to stay active there until I’m finished with the design process here. Then I’ll cancel there and I’ll open this site in the same day. How can I do it?!

  You are welcome to get set up on this end using the “WordPress.com” URL as a temporary address, and then when you are ready to “launch” your WordPress.com site at the final URL, you can upgrade to one of our plans listed here:

  https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  All our plans include the ability to connect a domain, and once you do that, it will replace your current site with the new site on WordPress.com, thus launching the new site.
