Replicating wordpress.org to wordpress.com site

  I am trying to reproduce my wordpress.org self-hosted website onto my wordpress.com website. I had used the steps described in : https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/ but the problem is that the wordpress.com images always have the my wordpress.org images as the image source. The moment my wordpress.org website goes down, the new wordpress.com website would have pictures missing, only showing the placeholders for the graphics. How can I ensure that the new wordpress.com website would use it’s own media library as the image source ? I hope that all URLs from old_domain.org/ would be translated to new_domain.wordpress.com for all files, including all comments and images.

  Hi goldlionpal,

  There are only two posts on winslove.wordpress.com and I wasn’t able to find any links to images on a WordPress.org site. Can you send a link to the site you are having trouble with?

  Is it all the images that have the WordPress.org image source at that link? Or just a specific one?
