replies to emails through contact form not sending to contact's email

    I just realized that since 9/1/17, any message that I replied to in my email inbox from my contact form on my blog, did not send to the person who contacted me, but instead replied to (email visible only to moderators and staff). Before 9/1/17, I could just click reply in my email and it would automatically put the client’s email address in for me and send my reply to the client. Now, all of the clients this entire month that have contacted me through my blog contact form, have not received emails back from me. I have lost out on a lot of business because of this glitch. Someone please help. Thank you!

    Hi there,

    Can you please check to see if you have included the quoted comment section.

    From the support docs –

    For replies via email to make it through to your comment section, they must contain the quoted comment notification message; alternatively, add “!END” on its own line at the end of your email.

    Sorry my mistake, I see you are getting replies from you contact form.

    Could you confirm that you have the correct email listed in your account settings – https://wordpress.com/me/account

    Note that you will have to use this email address to send replies back, or use the custom address you have set up via Gmail, etc.

    @michelleroyalmua I’ve just tested this on my site. Let me be sure we’re doing the same thing.

    – I submitted a message through my own contact form with an alternate email
    – I checked my own email for the contact form message
    – I clicked reply
    – The address in the “to” box matched the alternate email I used earlier

    Am I understanding that for you, the no-reply address appears when you try to reply?
