How do I remove the Reply box on the home page? I do not want people to be able to leave comments.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Here’s how you can remove the comments from your home page.
- View your homepage, and click “Edit”
- On the edit page, scroll down, then uncheck the “Allow comments” box
- You may want to do the same for Likes, Shares, etc if you want the page to appear completely static.
- Scroll back up and click “Update.”
Let me know if you hit any snags. :)

Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for your answer and help. However, when I go to the homepage and click “Edit”, I don’t see, on the edit page, the option to “Allow comments” (or not). So, when I click it, I see the main text area, then something called “Writing helper” and then below that “Likes and shares”. I was able to uncheck showing Likes and Shares, but I still can’t seem to remove the comment/Reply box. I’m sure it’s just me but any ideas of why my Edit page is different?
Thanks again!

Hi Alex,
Thanks again! So, I followed these instructions and made sure “Comments” was checked under Screen Options. This did make a Comments box appear on the Edit page, but my only option was to “Add comment”– there was no check box to show/not show comments.
Any other ideas?
Sorry for the hassle!

Hi Megan!
I was unclear – actually the “Allow Comments” and “Allow Trackbacks/Pingbacks” are actually in the Discussion module, not the Comments module.
Could you please check the Screen Options tab once again, check all the modules for “show on screen,” then scroll down and look for the Discussion options. They look like this:
