reply box on static page

  I am trying to remove the Reply Comment Here box from my static pages – how do you do that? I don’t want it on any of my pages (except my blog page).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can disable comments for pages on the Edit screen for each page. You may first need to enable the “Discussion” box by clicking Screen Options at the top of the Edit Page screen and clicking the appropriate checkbox.

  Then, scroll down the page and disable comments, and click Update.

  The darn thing keeps coming up. I’ve unchecked discussion and comments boxes. Is there another place to disable comments? Thank you.

  Keep in mind, this setting must be done for each page. Make sure you click the update button after you change the setting.

  There is a support article that covers disabling/enabling comments. I’d suggest you read through it and make sure you are following all of the steps:

  Found the answer! I needed to check the discussion and comments box on screen options, then I could change the discussion and comment settings below. Not very intuitive – thanks for your help.
