Reply form

I just moved my site to the Byrne theme. I am not a coder, so I could not figure out why there was no reply form within the theme. I contacted WordPress, told it was not available in the theme. They helped with a workaround but it’s cumbersome for someone like me, and I don’t like the way it looks (on the home page only). Can you help? I will use reply/comment forms on most of my pages so this is significant for me.

    Thanks – Carol

  • Hi Carol,

I see you were speaking with our live chat support team right before you created this forum thread. Was live chat unable to resolve your issue?

I see they helped you to add a comments block to your Page template in the site editor, so going forward you shouldn’t need to do anything else aside from making sure comments are enabled when you publish a new page. All pages you publish on the site uses that same template, so adding the comments block isn’t something you’ll need to do every time.

I don’t like the way it looks (on the home page only)

Can you give some more details on what doesn’t look right to you and how you’d like it to look?

If you prefer, you’re also welcome to start a new live chat session for help with this at https://wordpress.com/help/contact. Your Premium plan includes private live chat and email support, so you don’t need to post here in the public forums where we mostly help people on our free plan :)
