Reply to the weekly photo challenge doesn't appear on the daily post

Hi, I created a reply (https://impossiblebebong.wordpress.com/2014/11/14/achievement/) to the “Achievement” photo challenge by putting following link (in the text editor): “Reply To Weekly Photo Challenge: Achievement “. However my post doesn’t appear on the page. It seems the pingback doesn’t work anymore. Please help? Thanks a lot.

You’re welcome. It’s unlikely that the issue is that the pingbacks are not being generated. It’s probably just an issue of them displaying on the Staff blog.
Each and every time you create a a properly formed link in your blog to another site the software sends a pingback.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/If your pingback is not displaying then that’s too bad because getting traffic from the Staff blog and other such memes is the easy way to “blog”. For some bloggers it’s the only form of blogging they do and the major source of traffic they have to their sites.
I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help.

Hi,
I’m really sorry these aren’t working. I’m not quite sure why they aren’t working at the moment. We’re trying to identify the root of the issue so we can get this resolved. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I know more!

For the second week, this is also happening to me and I have been a regular contributor to the Weekly Photo Challenge for a very long time
This week this post does not result in a successful wingback

Thanks for the additional report here. It appears as though this is related to some HTTPS vs. HTTP changes we recently made to links. We’re working on a fix! I’ll keep this thread updated when we find a solution.

Since we are in the same subject, the ping back doesn’t work for this week photo challenge:converge. It was fine for the previous weeks. I created two posts this week. I cleared my history and cache and tried to work on firefox instead of safari, yet still none of them appear on the dailypost grid.
