Replying/subscribing/e-mail … how does it work
-
There’s probably a helpful article on this topic buried somewhere, but I haven’t seen it. The issue is: How, and in what form, to people reply to my blog. I understand that a comment in the ‘reply’ box comes back to me to approve, and I know that my response also is public on my blog. I know how and where to follow other blogs, and I’m learning how to control their responses to me. Is there any way for a reader of my blog to reply privately to me through the blog site, or is that something I need to manage through e-mail? THanks.

WordPress.com provides a secure contact form you can place on a page for exactly that purpose.
What follow are off-topic but I do think you may be interested.
You can set up email subscriptions by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >

… and the ‘off-topic’ reference was exactly what I was looking for, as well. I just didn’t have the sense to ask the right way. Thanks for reading my mind!
