  I was recently invited to contribute to the site http://ditherati.com/. The site owner says he made me an administrator, but I am unable to do anything but submit post drafts for review. He swears he made me an administrator and asked me to report this as a bug. Thank you!

  Hi Lauren,

  So I looked into this and found that it was not a bug. The site owner is a VIP client of WordPress.com and had two-step authentication turned on for the entire site. So you must activate it to be able to post. When you’re in the WP-Admin of that page, you’ll see this:

  Two Step Authentication is required to publish to this site.

  Please set that up and you should be able to post.

  Thank you so much, Grace! However, I was not invited to the site to post. The site owner asked me to make some adjustments in Settings and do batch edits to multiple posts on the site that I personally have not written. Is there a reason that I am unable to do that?

  Well, installing 2-factor-auth did the trick. I am now an administrator!
