Reporting plagarized and defamatory content
-
Apology if this is in the wrong section on here. I am reporting a plagiarized and malicious content on a WordPress site:
Adistem Doctor indicted in Stem Cell Scam -Dr Richard D’Andrea Suspected
The original version of the story is based on a 60 minute TV programme on Frank Morales which was covered by CBS News: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18560_162-6402854/21st-century-snake-oil/?pageNum=3
The original content is taken from here:
http://sctmonitor.blogspot.sg/2012/01/dr-frank-gets-cell-therapy.htmlThe names of the offenders in the original blog on the CBS “60 Minutes” TV Program were Mr. Larry Stowe and Mr. Martin Morales. These names were replaced with Dr. Richard D’Andrea and Mr. John Wood in http://stemscellscammers.wordpress.com.
All the content are taken from a copyrighted source and they are clearly written from the same person as this article also appears on other free non-wordpress blogs like BlogSpot.
Even the theme was named The Andrea Theme. This is clearly targeted towards Dr Richard Deandrea with criminal intention and meant to cause malicious damage to his reputation, along with
John Woods and AdiStem. We are in the process of filing a criminal report against the culprit and we hope WordPress can look into this and take down this website.
Thank you.

Hi auxclass, thanks for the recommendations.
I can’t exactly report it for content theft even though it’s plagiarized content because the original content belongs to CBS News, not me.
I have already sent in an email to http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/
But they have not respond back to me.

you can also report a blog by visiting the offending Post and on the left side of the top nav bar is the blog name – mouse over – click on the “Report Content”

Thank you auxclass, I just did that. Do you have any experience defamatory issues in WordPress? What do you think are my chances of getting the site taken down? I believe this is against WordPress’s Terms of Service.

I would like to report a very cruel blog that is defaming the memory of Robin Williams since his death. The person writing it is cruel and judgmental regarding both the actor and his act of suicide. What if Williams’ family, or families of suicide victims, were to read it? It’s horrible.

@ethelgrimes – please report the Post / blog as noted: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/reporting-plagarized-and-defamatory-content?replies=6#post-1997425
@rare – I have seen some vile sites removed – I have also seen some hate sites stay up – that is all I can remember –

It is also not possible to defame a dead person. Or libel one. Or hurt people’s feelings.
