reporting spam. Is it anonymous?

  Hi,

  On March 21st, I reported a wordpress website as spam, using this page https://wordpress.com/abuse/

  Since then, I got a message from the website owner. Not sure how it happened, but he was notified that I am the one who reported him as spam. Did wordpress share my information with the website owner? If yes, what exactly was shared?

  @shawnajroberts – what is wrong with a simple yes or no to the question?

  Is it anonymous?

  I do know that standard DMCA notices are not anonymous – but it would be nice to know if the spam form generates a notice with my name on it to the blog owner or if the complaints are completly handled by the TOS staff & the blog in question

  I assumed it was anonymous too and would like a definitive answer to the question please. Does the spam form generate a notice with my name (username) on it to the blog owner when I report a blog to Terms of Service Staff for investigation?

  Other than the DMCA report exception mentioned by auxclass, we do not share personal details about reporters to site owners.
