Reports followers cannot comment on my blog

  My blog followers cannot comment on my blog today (4/18) and I’ve had this blog – and this format – for years with no issues. Comments ARE enabled and always have been. Wondering if the recent ‘upgrade’ of WP may be the issue? Anyone else having this problem?

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  We have the same problem. The blog has been going for years same as yours. Just happened today. The usual comment box has disappeared and the ‘Leave a comment’ label is inactive – nothing happens when it is clicked on. No idea what is going on. Anyone from WP got any idea what is going on and whether it is temporary or something that will be fixed.

  Glad I’m not the only one but sorry you have this happening too! Hopefully it’s a temporary program glitch. Frustrating though isn’t it receiving emails from followers who want to know why they can’t comment. Fingers crossed WP can fix!

  Just seen that our blog status is now ‘Coming soon’ on the Dashboard drop down. I’m hoping this means that wordpress is working on something behind the scenes which is why we are not able to interact properly with the site. If not I’ve no idea what we are supposed to do.

  Hmm…..now that’s weird. The only thing “Coming Soon” for me is a migraine if they don’t figure out what’s going on and fix it for us! LOL I guess we just wait.

  Looks like something went kablooee because even the WPcom News blog seems affected.

  It could be something temporary, but I’ve gone ahead and tagged your thread for staff attention.
