Repost a post from wordpress.com to wordpress.org
-
Hi there, any suggestions gratefully received …
I post articles on a wordpress.com site that I run, professionally (http://nh3fuelassociation.org).
I’d like to allow wordpress.org users to repost my articles. Specifically, I’d like to reblog some of my articles onto my personal site, which is on wordpress.org (http://trevorbrown.us).
I want to repost the whole article, or at least the section above the <!–more–> tag. I don’t want to duplicate the post (ie, cut and paste the whole article into a new, unassociated webpage). I’d like any wordpress.org user to be able to do this too – the way any wordpress.com user can when they use the “Repost” button.
Must be possible, but how?
“Press This” only reposts title and link. This isn’t enough: I want to repost the content with attribution/trackback. (Perhaps I should “Press This” and then cut & paste html content?)
“Publicize” does a nice enough job posting content (text+images) elsewhere (linkedin/facebook), but doesn’t offer anything for wordpress.org blogs.
I installed “Repost.us” on my wordpress.org site. This looks like exactly what I want, but plugins aren’t allowed on wordpress.com.
Do I need to go learn how RSS works? I only want to pull the articles I wrote myself, so assume I need to do it individually (can’t select on tags / author (shared) / category).
Any and all help gratefully received. Best,
T.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
