Reposted post – doesn't show up

    Hi – I followed the directions.. I took an old post, updated it, saved it as a draft, and then republished it today. When I follow the shortlink I copied, it takes me to the page, however, it doesn’t show up at top of my site as it should considering the date. Can you advise?

    Hi Susan,

    Can you please link me directly to the post in question? What were you trying to do? When you revert an already published post to draft, then publish it again, it still shows the original published date. But you can manually edit any post’s date in this way:

    Hi Eurello –
    Thank you. I made a mistake on my end, I changed the date but not the year, So I did that. However, now I have a new question. I thought if you took an old post, saved it as a draft and then reposted it, it would be sent to subscribers. I subscribe to my own blog and it didn’t do that. Is there a way to make an old post that is updated go out to subscribers?

    Hi Susan,

    No, once a post has been published, it won’t go out again. The only way to do this would be to copy that content into a brand new post.
