Reposting a prior post.

How can I repost a prior post? I want to do that and allow commenting to resume with or without the original comments. I was able to do it by going to the original post and scheduling a current posting date, but that seems to take the original post out of its chronologic original order.

Hey Paul,
There are two primary ways to repost something to the top of your blog feed:
- Change the date of publication. However, like you mention, this just moves the post to the top of your blog again. It’s the same original post just in a different position.
- You could copy the post and create a duplicate on your blog as described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-helper/copy-a-post/
That would create an identical post to the first one, but it would be completely separate. So, your post would still live at the old URL as well as the new one.
Would either of those options work?
