[REQ] [INFO] How to force-center html5 videos

  Standard: When I embed videos from youtube or vimeo, they are automatically centered, when I use the code [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...&hl=de&fs=1&rel=0].

  Problem: However, I am using my browser (Safari 5.0, MacOS 10.6.4) with a youtube-hmtl5-extension. As a result, I have neatly looking html5-videos, less CPU-drain, auto-HD etc., but the wordpress software does not automatically center the videos anymore, i.e. they are aligned left.

  Question: Is there a command similar to center-align for text that will force-center a video on a wordpress.com-blog?

  Your best bet is to use a table:

  That should do the trick, I think. The demo videos on that page do appear as html5 and centered. Thank you. I’ll report back after I’ve tried it out.

  It works. For 30 minutes or so html5 wasn’t working at all, but now it’s fine.
