Request: Allow AI crawler access (Google-Extended) for my blog
-
Hi!
I am the author of the blog olemuslik.wordpress.com. I’ve noticed that Google’s Gemini AI is consistently blocked from accessing my site content (error: URL_FETCH_STATUS_ENP_BLOCKED).
I understand that WordPress.com has implemented platform-level restrictions for AI crawlers, but as the content creator, I strongly believe that I should have the right to decide if my work is accessible to AI-assistants like Gemini. > Could you please provide a way to opt-out of this blocking? If it’s not currently possible on the Free plan, I would like to formally submit this as a feature request. Authors should have the autonomy to control their site’s visibility to the Google-Extended crawler.
Looking forward to your response.

Update: It has been over a month since I first reported this issue, and Google Gemini is still consistently blocked from accessing my content. The complete silence from the WordPress.com team is disappointing. This is no longer a ‘temporary indexing delay’—it is a persistent restriction of my rights as an author to decide how my work is shared and discovered. Does WordPress.com intend to address this concern about author autonomy, or is the policy to simply ignore creators who want control over their own content?
