request best practice advice for gaining follows

  I just started a new travel blog and am very excited it’s finally real and tangible–unfortunately learning how to market it is harder than I thought! What is the best advice for getting a new blog off the ground and reach the right followers?

  FWIW: I would certainly make sure you have active accounts on other social media; Stumbleupon, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Post links back and forth. How much you work each of those angles is up to you of course. Some will be more effective than others.
