Request: Chat and Audio templates for Ryu theme

    I simply love the Ryu theme, said to harbour certain Tumblr-esque features – with which it’s very hard to diagree.

    Which is why I wonder if it would be possible, at all, to se a chat and audio template in any upcoming updates – if it’s not asking too much.

    Would make the theme complete!

    We used to have 4 chat options but we no longer have them. Chatroll is no longer supported. At present there are no chatboxes or forums that can be embedded into free hosted WordPress.com blogs. There is no FTP access and we cannot install plugins.

    One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.

    Thanks a million for your reply, timethief, and I understand what you’re referring to, but I do have quite a few self-hosted WP installations, too.

    However I have used a couple of themes for free, WP-hosted blogs, too, offering chat and audio templates, in addition to Standard, Aside, Image, Video, Quote, Link and Galley. In other words a layout tailored to match the needs of a dialogue only or audio only post (as you will find in all Tumblr blogs, too).

    Would love to see that in the Ryu theme, as it would honour the theme’s claim to be a Tumblr-like theme. The templates also come in handy on many an occasion.
