Request for Administrative Access Recovery – Palmer Community Library Site
-
Hello WordPress.com Support Team,
I am writing on behalf of Palmer Community Library in Palmer, Texas to request assistance in recovering administrative access to our WordPress.com website: palmercommunitylibrary.wordpress.com.
Our site was originally set up by a former volunteer using her personal email address. She has since left the library and reports that she no longer has access to the email account used to create or manage the site, and therefore cannot reset the password or transfer access to us.
Palmer Community Library is the rightful owner of this website, which represents our public library and contains our official information, branding, and programming details. We need to regain administrative access so that current library staff can manage and maintain the site going forward.
We are happy to provide any documentation or verification you may require to confirm our ownership of the site, including links to our official social media accounts, city affiliation, or other supporting materials.
Please advise on the next steps for recovering or transferring administrative access to Palmer Community Library.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,
That’s a really common and frustrating situation to be in when access to a site is tied to someone who’s no longer available or who no longer has access to the site.
The best place to start is the WordPress.com account recovery process. You can learn about that here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/From that page, you can access the Account Recovery Form and provide the requested details. WordPress.com will guide you through the verification steps needed to confirm ownership of the site before access can be restored or transferred.
Once you’ve submitted that form, the support team can follow up with next steps.
